Michael McKenney has received the National Safe Driving and Excellent Performance Award from United Van Lines. McKenney a 20-plus year veteran of the Boston moving company is the only van operator in the country and the United Van Lines Family to receive this award for the year 2010.
McKenney was judged on a number of criteria including operating his moving van for a minimum of 40,000 miles during 2010. He also needed to avoid any moving violations, out of service deficiencies at any roadside safety inspections and no unsafe driver complaints. In addition, he needed to avoid any roadside safety violations from law enforcement in his travels.
David Pike was recently presented with the United's van Operator of the Month Excellent Performance Award for the Household Good continental Fleet of the Northeast region. Pike was judged based on his ability to uphold United's customer service pledge, operate a minimum amount of hours on the road, complying with all federal and state regulations in a safe manner and projecting a positive image for the Boston moving company and United Van Lines.
